Is H265+ codec working OK in Blue Iris?

I do not think so. It supports only h.264 and H.265. The + is normally specific to a specific manufacture cameras, so it is not supported.

Support of H.265 in quicksync is dependent upon the cpu type and model.

What version of BI ?
What is the make and model of the camera ?

Thanks for your response SY

I am new to the IP camera game but like what I see with BI
I have retired off a farm onto half an acre in a town and wish to set cameras to watch our dogs and for security.
I bought a couple of Reolink cameras before I discovered BI and now have the hikvision camera, but will need several more good cameras to cover the whole property.
BI says that I am only using 9% cpu running the 3 current cameras.

My Blue Iris is v5
My Current CPU is AMD Ryzen5 3600 GPU is Radeon RX 580
I will build a dedicated PC if needed when I have all the necessary cameras.
The camera with H265+ is a Hikvision DS-2CD2365G1-I

Not sure about that particular camera. A screen shot from the camera video configuration screen would help. Blue Iris does not use any special Codex. Just plan h.264 and H.265

Your system will work if correctly configured. I do not know about using the Radeon RX 580 for advance settings.
My main advice is to go slow add one camera at a time. Learn as you go.

I live in Sydney in 1973 for 6 months. Work around the south and wet coast for another year, doing oil exploration.
