I'll tell you what though, if there's a fault in the camera that is preventing it powering via poe that's not a bad way to do it
Hey, forget the exposed wiring at the CAT cable......at least we did tape up the 12VDC plug-to-jack junction (somewhat) !

I could sure use some of those forks around my house to finish my installs.
That's how you get it far enough down to eliminate IR bounce off the soffit lol
