Hardware for BlueIris

I am currently running an old HP54L Proliant server with 8gb RAM dedicated to home automation and Blue Iris. Over the years i have moved to HD cameras and i am finding that the CPU often maxes out at 100% so i guess I need to do something about that. I have been looking at one of the small form PCs a Gigabyte Brix (Intel Core i7-4500U). I am planning on 8GB RAM and probably a data hard drive with windows 8.1. Will that have enough grunt to service what is currently around 7 HD cameras or is an Intel Core i5-4200U likely to suffice?

If they are all 720p cameras then maybe. The U processors are weak. You really should be using a true ivy bridge or haswell i5 or i7 for 7 cams. If you want to use a bit less power the intel "s" processors are ok as well like the 4770s or 4570s. [h=1][/h]
 
I have an I7 3770k with 16GB of RAM, SSD for the OS and a 1TB WD Blue for BI. I have 9 cameras, 7 are 3MP the other 2 are 1.3MP. I run typically in the 35-45% range for BI. I have tweaked it so the live view is only 5fps and recording is 10fps. It works well with this config. I just upgraded the RAM last night from 8GB and there weren't any issues based on BI.
