Hawk thought twice about this potential meal

Early this am my woods camera captured this 'close encounter' between a raccoon and hawk. It occurred at 1:45 in the morning. I didn't even know hawks flew at night. He made two passes at Rocky before giving up. I have more than an hour of clips of the raccoon foraging around in front of the camera.

BINGO! you are exactly right! In January I caught a short clip of him on the ground. The head bobbing gave away what he was. He is on the extreme left hand side of this clip:

I'd agree with that 100%. Its actually the reason I started putting cameras up. I have only 1 in the woods right now, soon to add 2 more.

These are in the front of the house. We have a lot of woods in the back that is connected to 100's of acres of dense woods. I have been looking for a spot to place a couple of cameras back there also. So many hobbies, so little time!
