Hi

I am trying to upgrade my monitor in the kitchen from the existing Dell 23" SP2309W monitor to LG 27" 27EA63V monitor.

The location of the monitor in the kitchen is 50 ft away from my server room (where the NVR sit).

I have this setup with the Dell monitor for years without an issue. But now when I am trying to use it with my 27" monitor - it have this red dots all over the screen. It appears to be due to poor signal or suffering from signal lost.

I am using the Hikvision NVR DS-7816N-E2 with BlueRigger High Speed HDMI Cable.

The LG monitor works fine with the HDMI cable when I connect it to the NVR using a 6 ft HDMI cable. So I know both the NVR and the LG monitor works. I know the 50 ft HDMI cable works because it is working with my Dell monitor right now..

Question - is there a way I can reduce the resolution of the NVR through HDMI to maybe 1080i or 720p? Maybe that work better?

Or would an HDMI signal booster or extender or repeater would solve my issue? If so, which one?

Thanks
