Hello, I've been trying to schedule an appointment with IPCamTalk support but haven't received a response. I'm looking to hire someone to help me get my camera solution using Blue Iris, correctly. I need to monitor five separate locations and want to ensure everything is set up correctly from the start. Currently, I have BNC Video Power cables installed and prefer to stick with that setup. I'm interested in both 16 and 8 channel options. I’m willing to pay for this service. Thank you in advance for your assistance.

Welcome cooper53,

I have not seen a lot of independent contractors for cctv installation here. Yes we do have a few.

5 separate locations, perhaps you can share more about that and what you currently have and what you are looking for that is better.

I am interested in hiring someone to assist me with configuring Blue Iris. I have 5 locations equipped with Zosi DVRs and need to consolidate viewing on a single Windows PC. Despite attempting to schedule a support call here at ipcamtalk,, I haven't received confirmation yet or any response. I need clarification on whether my current DVRs are compatible with Blue Iris. If not, I would appreciate recommendations for compatible DVRs. Additionally, I require guidance on adjusting view settings and other setup-related inquiries. Please contact me if you are available to assist. Thank you in advance.

I noticed this post of yours .. looks like was in chit chat area ..

I've done extensive research and I'm seeking advice on selecting the right DVR unit for remote viewing with Blue Iris, or possibly using a unit's NVR if it's compatible. Currently, I have BNC Video Power cables installed and prefer to stick with that setup. I'm interested in both 16 and 8 channel options as I need to monitor 5 different locations from a Windows PC. While high resolution isn't a top priority, I do need a stable platform capable of handling around 40 live views. I currently use Zosi DVRs but am open to replacing them with a better, affordable solution. Any advice on suitable units would be greatly appreciated. Thank you in advance!

And noticed this was in ipcamera section ( a better place on this topic vs chit chat .. )

I'll let others post for a bit for now .. will take a look closer when I get back to my desk

Hi, so summary I see so far, and associated questions :

1) Zosi DVRs.

2) 5 locations.

3) BNC cables.
Are these the cables that Zosi included in their kits ?

Questions :
What are you looking to achieve ?
What are the issues you have with your current system ?

Hi, I'm trying to view 5 locations, live feed from one Windows10 based computer.. Yes they are Zosi cables also.. I want help with installing and also optimizing the video to be able to view about 40 live feeds at once... I think I also want to use Blue Iris.. So I'm basically doing all my research and lining up support for when I go live.. I also just purchased two Amcrest DVR's to test their native software... Thanks for the response..

Zosi cables, iirc some of the cheaper kits had cheap quality cables, and that can be an issue with better cameras.

Amcrest DVR may use different standards than Zosi .. so you will want to check that. There are iirc 4 standards for CCTVs on coax for better resolution cameras.

So you have to really know more about the cameras you have and the standards they follow.

Then if you want to send the signal out to a main PC to receive video, you will have to see what sort of video feed the DVRs send out .. it gets complicated quickly for those new to this.

I'm slowly turning into a independent contractor for CCTV! Been talking and ordering alot from Andy, of late. However, no touchy analog / BNC. Of course, only service Northern Nevada, not nationwide.
If someone came to me with 40 BNC analog cameras, I wouldn't take the project period. Most contractors would be setup for IP cameras. Analog camera testing, installing, etc takes additional tools & test kits that I would not invest in.

40 live feeds at once

Have you calculated the bandwidth required for that ?
