Hello From NC

I have a Dahua system 7 cameras and an NVR. I still have issues with the user interface, I find it very confusing, and the system randomly locks me out from viewing the cameras over IDMSS. I would like to run some kind of different software? Maybe Blue Iris? Not even sure where to start.

Welcome @dbarcombe! Blue Iris is some of the best software I’ve ever used, and I’ve used quite a bit of software. A+ plus plus in my opinion.

You will need a standalone PC to run blue iris. There are a number of threads on purchasing a used PC for BI on ebay and other sites.
