After spending countless hours reading,trying to absorb all the information,take notes I finally decided on a camera system. The install will take a while and I have already incountered a problem. The house was built in the early fifties, so we decided to rewire and spray foam the walls not thinking years down the road we would want a camera system. My question is how do I hide the wire from the attic down the interior wall to the nvr for a clean look.

Is the foam so solid that you can't push a wire pull (thin, flexible pole) through it?

Yes once you spray, it expands and drys in about two minutes filling the space between the studs. And we’re installing sixteen cameras so the hole would have to be pretty large.

Did you also spray foam in the interior walls? If not, may that would be a better route.

For me I had the wiring bundle for the NVR / switch come down from the attic into a closet and not down a wall - this way I did not need to drill larger holes into the walls.

The spray foam shouldn't be so hard that fiberglass cable fishing rod wouldn't be able to pass through it.

Something to consider, and I'm not sure how they did it in the 50's, but in my home, built in the 70's there is a horizontal fire block (2x4) connected between the 16 inch studs.
So to get through that, I bought a drill bit, like this: Milwaukee 1/2 in. x 72 in. Cable Bit-48-13-8350 - The Home Depot
They come in different lengths and widths.
Essential you'd use that to get down to a space in the wall where you want the cable to come out of, just make sure their isn't anything vital that you may hit in the wall, like gas, plumbing or electrical.

Or you could run wide rectangular conduit.

For me, I'm running 8 POE Cameras and few wireless cameras.
I wanted to do the "Clean" look, buy running the wires down the wall, I was successful in my first round of cables, cause I pushed them all down at once...
However, when I went to add more cable, I couldn't get them down, so I ended up just using the media pass through panel in the ceiling, however, I also have my patch panel in an open closet.

Sorry for the late response. Thank you both for the help. We’re going to drill down the wall and try and fish all sixteen wires..
