Hi,

I bought LaView LV-KNT982A42W4 kit with 2x2MP and 2x4MP POE cameras.
It worked fine until i changed the awfully noisy fan in the NVR to a much lower noise Noctua fan this week.

after boot the cameras are not recognized in the NVR.
everything seems to be fine, the camera powers up, its says "detecting" in the NVR camera list, and then changes to N/A.

The camera seems to work, as they swap between daylight/IR depending on light.
I tried resetting factory, the camera reset, tinker with a little, different cables , different ports on the NVR, same result.

please help a newbie.

Have you tried unplugging the new fan? There's a remote chance it is incompatible.

I also run LaView and replaced the factory cables with Cat6... this has helped my setup a lot.

Is this an NVR with PoE Ports?
If so - did you re-connect the cameras into the same ports that they were originally connected to?

Yes it's NVR with POE
I triedtried same ports, then different ports
Doesnt work

I can try disconnecting the fan, but i doubt it, the fan connects to the PSU directly and not to the NVR board.

I tried removing the fan, as suspected it didn't do anything.

It seems the problem is with the authentication of the camera with the NVR.
when i click on the status of the camera (which is just a yellow triangle with a !) it says "the username or password is wrong".
I guess the camera can have a username or password? how can it be reset?
maybe the internal NIC DHCP address is not within the camera range?
