according to my router it's an ipv4 addy 10.0.0.x
My pc is on DHCP, so check reserved IP? and change my pc to the same 192.168.1.108 or 192.168.1. any number? Then I can access the cam?
Yes.
On the computer, open a command prompt as admin (right-click Start menu, choose “Command Prompt (Admin)" or PowerShell (Admin) depending on version).
At the prompt type:
netsh interface ipv4 set address name="Ethernet" static 192.168.1.10 255.255.255.0 (substitute "Wi-Fi" for "Ethernet" if computer is using WiFi)
Should return a prompt again.
Type:
ipconfig
Check that you have a 192.168.1.x address.
Type:
ping 192.168.1.108
Should show a return ping. If so, then try your browser to the same address. Assuming a connection, go into settings in the cam and set to a unique 10.0.0.x address (you can go back and change gateway, DNS, etc., as you want later).
When done to reset your computer back to DHCP on the 10.0.0.x subnet, type:
netsh interface ipv4 set address name="Ethernet" DHCP (again substitute "Wi-Fi" for "Ethernet" if using WiFi)
Or you can go through the change your network adapter settings under Networking & Internet if you know how to get there. Or search and you'll find how to do.
