In 2016 I decided I needed a project as being retired gets boring at times. - So CCTV it was - I read a lot of forums and settled for Hikvision - Bought 7608 and bullet camera from UK specialist and set about putting it together - Bare in mind I was born in clockwork and valve era so this was a test - I am stupid with network - no matter how much I try it won't go in so just getting this first camera up and working took me a few weeks -
I then bought 4 more from China - 2 bullet DS2CD2232-i5 and two domes - Long story but got them all working on DVR - Got them online only for it to fail a few month's later and not managed to get it up and working again - also not into smart phones although I have one and couldn't get it working on there either - So as you see I am a dunce.
Saying that this system has run smoothly ever since bar it keeps asking for more secure password (another thing I couldn't work out how to change) - until two days ago.
As you see from the news the UK is suffering the worst snow fall known to man and Monday while sitting here looking at monitor (above PC monitors) the two 2232's flashed on screen during a short blizzard.
When blizzard had stopped the two 2232's looked just like they were wearing a good pair of Raybans - The picture looks like you are looking at it through sun glasses.
I went into menu and looked for anything that could change filtering or reset the light sensors but nothing jumped out at me.
So my question is what should I be looking for - The other three cameras are OK - picture is full daylight and even in dark the 2332's still have that sunglasses effect - Not quite bright enough.
These two cameras are on end of gable - one each end of house and look out over open ground which in the snow gave a glaring effect.
If one camera did this I would suspect a faulty camera but both did same thing together which seems odd
Long first post but hopefully someone has seen this problem before and it will be an easy fix.
Thanks Seymour
