Hello all, I need help with a Hikvision DS-2CD2032. I can’t access the ip camera outside of my home network. I tried port forwarding based on what I read and my search on this forum but still, no connection to the camera. I am at my wits end. I am a rookie when it comes to networking so any suggestions will be greatly appreciated.
My router is a Netgear AC1450 and my first try was to use the UPnP assigned port instead of port forwarding. it works on another ip camera I have (non Hikvision).
Router uPnP Portmap for the Hikvision:
Int Port: 8000, Ext Port: 46262
Int Port: 80, External Port: 38342
Int Port: 554, Ext Port: 554
So on the address line, I used the router’s external ip address and port: 71.231.xxx.xx:46262 but no connection. I tried 38342 and still no connection.
I then moved to Port Forwarding and created:
Internal start/end Port 8000/8000 to External start/end Port: 46262
Internal start/end Port 80/80 to External start/end Port: 38342
Tried 71.231.xxx.xx:46262 and 38342 and still no go.
I used other External start/end Port numbers like 9200, 9300, etc and still no go.
I did not change the camera’s network settings.
thanks for reading. Ron
