Here comes Milton…

View attachment 204468 That sucker just seems hell bent on going over the top of my house. No noticeable change in path in two days from what I can tell.

Head to the East Coast you can stay here. I need some cat6 lines and cameras mounted anyway.

Gas. Generators slowly running out here in Lake County.

Were good both vehicles full, 30 gallons for the generator. I get about 1.5 hours per gallon if I recall.

All comes down to the roof staying on

Amatuer weather dork here, but my forecast is do not discount the warnings for this puppy.
Original forecast was for a cat 2, now look where it's at.
Milton has nothing better to do than to suck up historic warm water from the gulf for two more days, what could go wrong. :nervous:

It's very likely that it will go through a wall replacement cycle, and get bigger.

I always say meteorologists still get paid when they are wrong.

Way too much water, not near enough bourbon IMHO
I'm not sharing the pic of my liquor stash because that stash is normal and enormous and wasn't a special pre-hurricane stockup item.

You are a Fire Marshall's nightmare!
You don't even want to know about ammo, reloading supplies et al. Does it help that I keep it separate from the propane and gasoline?

Please review the recommended settings for night vision. It’ll be easier to find your bottles in the morning.

One of the reports this morning showed the shear and an area of dry air pulling it south and hitting Cuba, Keys and SE Florida.
I've heard you aren't supposed to say you wish it would go to someone else's doorstep. You don't know what I'm thinking though....but maybe you do. ;);)

I went and retrieved my generator which I haven't used in 3 years. It fired right up. Electricity is the least of my concerns. We are supposedly on the same electrical grid as the hospital a few miles down the road. I'd expect rapid restoration. I ain't gonna lie, I've been though enough of this hurricane non-sense over the years but this one has me sweating. Even was here the year we had 3 hurricanes cross Central Florida in a four week period. And it was a total of four major hurricanes that year. 1728348588191.png
