I am grateful that one thing ya'll don't have to worry about.....you have a governor that will do his best to help and protect FL and it's inhabitants.
I could not find my link to that great website that has the spaghetti models. Anyone recall the link? The following looks like it might be a couple of hours old and seems to have a majority consensus for just south of Tampa and passing just south of Orlando. Yes, I know the storm is very wide and isn't just a the width of a line.
Looks to me like Milton is taking more of a due East path for the moment. If this holds, then it would hit Florida a little further South than earlier predicted. We shall see as these hurricanes have a mind of their own.

Oh man, I hate it for people in the path but moving south is better news for me. Seems like the first real adjustment since Friday. I've been astonished that for 4 days it held it's path. Of course it can easily slide back to the 4 day old predicted path.
Was around the Cape area about 30 years ago. Just too hot and muggy for me (sweat like a pig); was taken to lunch outside and everyone was in a suit. Funny thing was, the guys from there seemed to be use to it.
I went and retrieved my generator which I haven't used in 3 years. It fired right up. Electricity is the least of my concerns. We are supposedly on the same electrical grid as the hospital a few miles down the road. I'd expect rapid restoration. I ain't gonna lie, I've been though enough of this hurricane non-sense over the years but this one has me sweating. Even was here the year we had 3 hurricanes cross Central Florida in a four week period. And it was a total of four major hurricanes that year. View attachment 204486
This one has me more concerned than any other, including the 4 in 2004, three of which came even closer to us.
I’m dead center in the middle of the state about 65 miles to the west coast as the crow flies.
