Here comes Milton…

If you have a dishwasher, and not the human kind, you can place all sorts of shit in there and it will not get wet. Just make sure the door is locked down.

Had a possible looter go buy at 4:45 am. Slow driving pickup. Stopped 4 doors up from us, passenger gets out and he looking to get in side door of an empty unit. I went out with flashlight and armed of course, yelled “hey” from maybe 150ft, guy jumps back in and they speed off.
OK, go ahead and admit it.....you were secretly disappointed the bastage didn't turn and start running directly toward you. :headbang:

LCSO was by twice last night. Don’t usually see them patrolling in groups but they probably have unlimited OT right now so more officers on duty.

What if thats the looters after they snagged some new wheels?

Life in Florida. As if a hurricane wasn't bad enough, add some gators to the list of problems.

Anyone know the "official" exit point of Milton...nearest town? Was it Melbourne or Palm Bay? Pic from Wiki makes it appear like Kennedy Space Center.

The eye expanded so big it’s hard to tell. Canaveral is the last I heard

I'm lucky I guess, I live in Lakewood Park. We had around a dozen tornadoes come through here, and that 3 hour rain band almost flooded me out. Prayers for those who suffered the worst.
Just glad this was a baby storm when it hit the east coast.

When we were headed west on I-10 Wednesday in west TX, saw a lot of bucket trucks headed east.

Well, if we use his reasoning, if he is missing his fingers and/or hands, then it should be ok for him to steal.
IDK, I probably got that wrong and am just letting out my wishful thinking...IF found innocent, of course!

@bigredfish and others in FL impacted by Milton: Have you all gotten power back up yet? How is everything now?

We were just out of power a little over 2 days in Lake Co. I show 56 new hours on the Generac.

Internet on the other hand was 7 days. Got it back yesterday. Mostly because Comcast/Xfinity sucks and hates their customers.

We had basically Cat 1 winds for 7-8 hours. Max gusts were 75-80

Some of the poor folks on the coast are still out.

We had a tragedy here in my neighborhood. Street one over from me, older couple 68/76 apparently had a generator running Wed night into Thurs during the storm. It was in an enclosed shed attached to the house. They found them this past Tuesday on a wellness check :(
