Hey everyone sorry to bother all of you.

I have a small business and im gona go to a new warehouse.

I would like to buy some cameras to install on the new location. The budget is kinda of tight because i need between 24 and 32 cameras. I saw alot of bad reviews for the brand i was thinking of buying, 24 cameras reolink 510A a nvr and a poe switch is just arround the max budget i have for the system, max 2000€ i cant go above this.

I will have sensors in the outside lights to turn them on at night when there is movement.

Is there any other system arround this price point you guys could recommend?

The warehouse area is 2600m2 (28000sq ft) and the total size of the lot is 8000m2 (86110 sq ft) thats why i need so many cameras.

Regards from Portugal and sorry for my crappy english.

Thank you in advance.

Welcome Julio

First decide what you functionally want to accomplish.

Then pick up a few cameras to test with and see if they meet your requirements.

Do not jump in and buy a complete setup until you've done those 2 first.

Are they overview cameras to see what is happening or do you want to be able to IDENTIFY and if so what distances. Overview and identify and different cameras.

Im sorry what do you mean by this?

Regards

Example, I want to know if all the parking spots have been taken during the day?
I want to able able to identify the type of car at night ?
I want to be able to see if the inventory is still there ?
I want to watch if the employees are working ?
I want to see if the employees are stealing cash from the til ?
I want to get the license plates of cars ?
I want to see if rats are eating the inventory ?
I want to watch at night for thieves?

Others have given you some good feedback on what this means. Let me take it one step further.

That is a big area and you have already decided on 24-32 cams. How did you come to that number? Are you trying to cover inside and outside?

There seems to be four separate buildings and two different access points for the land. Are you trying to cover all those positions? How many doors and windows are there? Where are they placed on the buildings. Typically one would cover doors and window with tight FOV and then use wider FOV for overviews.

Definitely need to understand what you are trying to accomplish. @mat200 gave lots of leading questions for you to think about and answer here for us to help you.

1. If this is only for recording outside area - 24-32 crappy cams are too much.
More crappy cams don't change anything - they are crappy cams :)

Reolink is company focused on house market - they sell cheap cams designed to sell directly (over internet) or in big DIY / home improvement stores (like Castorama / Leroy Merlin etc).. they are not designed for profesional applications...

2. You need to understand that all cheap / house market specific cams records very wide field of view (90 - 110 degree horizontal).. Consumers like this - because they think that cam records a lot of field view around house (they see a lot in recordings).. But wide zoom creates problem - all objects (people / cars) at distance (even 10 meters from cam) are very small (they are compressed).. And they lack details (face, car plate number)..

3. Cheap cameras use also very small and very cheap image sensors. Those cams can create good image at day, even at night static (not moving) image will be fine (black and white of course), but everything in motion (people, cars) at night will be very blurry. And they will lack details (face, car plate number)..

4. Your satellite map shows that there are huge distances between buildings and plots.. For that areas You need cams with true optical zoom - which can records narrow field of view (like 15 - 45 degree horizontal) to have nice big objects recorded with details (people coming from outside areas etc). And they cost more..

5. Reolink cams You selected have very cheap IR LEDs, they are not strong to illuminate bigger areas and don't have any system to compensate power when someone come to cams (so face image will be over blow even if someone stops under the cam and will be looking at cam!!!).

6. In this budget You should buy much less much better cams.. And hire some who understands how to choose cams with proper OPTICS (very important!!!) for specific usage / location. Yes I known - in Portugal this will be problem (all installers mounts cheapest mass market solutions here).

PS. Check this thread, about quality of video footage of cheap consumer cams...

You would be better off with fewer, but better cams, then more cams that are crap and are useless.

Reolink does a very good job of still images. But at night perps are a complete motion blur with missing body parts LOL....

What you mean a missing hand isn't normal LOL :lmao (plus look at the blur on the face and he is barely moving and this should be ideal indoor IR bounce and it struggles):

How about missing everything but the blur of a head and upper torso :lmao:

The invisible man, where can he be. Thank goodness he is carrying around a reflective plate to see where he is LOL (hint - the person is literally in the middle of the image at the end of the fence where that rectangular reflective plate is that he is carrying around)

I've seen better images on an episode of ghost hunters :lmao:

And of course, this is an example from Reolink's marketing videos - do you see a person in this picture...yes, there is a person in this picture.... Could this provide anything useful for the police other than the date and time something happened? Would this protect your property? The still picture looks great though except for the person and the blur of the vehicle... Will give you a hint - the person is in between the two visible columns:

Are any of these images sufficient for what your goals of the cameras are?

Here is the unofficial Reolink thread. It is documented in that thread as well the issues that BI has with Reolink cameras.

You can see all the attempts people have provided to demonstrate the quality of Reolink, and they are all a blurry mess at night or missing body parts or other messes.

We have challenged folks to provide a clean capture of someone moving at night with a Reolink and as you can see with over 20 pages, nobody has yet to provide a usable image with motion at night.

Reolink's algorithm is designed to produce a nice bright static image at night and that comes at a cost of blur and ghost and missing body parts at night.

Hi there,
Moving to a new warehouse and setting up security can be quite a challenge, especially on a tight budget. I've faced similar issues with my own business and found a few strategies and brands that might help you out.

Firstly, I understand your concerns about Reolink 510A given the reviews, but I have used a combination of different brands to optimize costs and coverage. One brand you might consider is Hikvision. They offer a wide range of affordable cameras that have good reviews and reliability. Their cameras, combined with a suitable NVR and PoE switch, might fit within your budget.

Another option is Dahua Technology, which also provides quality surveillance systems at competitive prices. Both brands offer cameras with features like motion detection, night vision, and remote viewing, which could be very beneficial for your large warehouse and lot area.

In my business, I've had great success using technologies from xxxxxxx. They provide excellent solutions for various operational needs, and their expertise might be useful for your warehouse setup too.

Also, consider using a mix of camera types. You could use fewer high-resolution cameras for critical areas and more budget-friendly cameras for general surveillance. This approach can help you stay within budget while ensuring comprehensive coverage.

You might also want to look into used or refurbished systems. Many businesses upgrade their security systems frequently, and you can often find great deals on slightly older models that still perform very well.

Your link doesnt go to a camera manufacturer and I still think he;s a bot or a spammer
