I’ve found this deal on a Dahua IPC-HDW2231T-ZS-S2 on AliExpress and wanted to know whether, in your opinion, I should go for it or not?

I think I’ve fixed the original links - sorry, new to this!!

I’ve looked at Andy’s store, and can’t seee this model in stock. Plus this is a good bit cheaper, albeit says it can take up to 30 days for delivery. But not in a rush.

Contact Andy directly here on IPCT. That camera is probably cheaper for a reason such as being a hack Chinese firmware that can't e upgraded and, probably again, no real support if something goes wrong. There is a thread, in the vendors area, specifically for Empire Tech. Check there or directly email kingsecurity2014@163.com .

It has Eenglish Firmware so must be good.

To the OP listen to people here, contact Andy and get a price from him.

Most of the cheaper cams on AliExpress are local market Chinese cams hacked with English firmware which can’t be upgraded. You’ll also receive no proper support from the seller should there be issues.

As others have already recommended Andy I wanted to add the following note:

Remember to always double check and see if you can find recommendations on any potential vendor you are considering on Ali / ebay / other...

Also remember that there are some less truthful and trust worthy ones - so always use caution, and also remember that many of the more affordable products on Ali 2/free shipping come with slow shipping - and sometimes there are complications as that method may not include tracking.
