I just received my first IP camera, a Hikvision 2332 turret. I ran SADP, found the camera, and at one point was able to see it on my PC (local network) by entering the IP address.
Then, I started trying to figure out port forwarding and in the process might have alterned an important setting on my router or camera. As of right now, I can see the camera using the iVMS-4500 app on my android (on my local WIFI network), but when I try to open the camera in a browser (tried three browsers and cleared history), I get an "unable to connect" page.
According to SADP, the camera has firmware v 5.2.5 build 141201.
My iVMS-4500 settings are:
IP address: 192.168.1.60
Port 8000
User name: admin
Pw:*******
SADP finds the camera with the same IP address above. When I click on the IP address in SADP, it opens a browser and I get the same "unable to connect" message.
I have removed all port forwarding settings from my router and I am at a loss as to why I am unable to see the camera on my PC.
Any thoughts are greatly appreciated.
