Hik 7616NI-8P NVR Can't add cameras after fw update - Region Locked?

Hello

I have just recently updated the firmware on my NVR.

4 of my camera's have stopped working. 2 are CH modded to english, the other 2 are OEM.


4 of my original genuine cameras work .

Very disapointed in hik now region blocking cameras.

What firmware are you now on, and what firmware was it before?
It's possible you may be able to use ONVIF for the Hikvision cameras, for a couple of firmware versions, and I don't recall exactly which, it was around 3.3.4, region checking was implemented in the Hikvision connection protocol but not the ONVIF protocol.
Also - on the web GUI updater for the 3.4.80 firmware there is an anti-rollback feature, so getting away from that version may need access to the serial console unless the tftp updater is still present in your bootloader, as it is in older NVRs.
