Hi all having issues resetting the above camera password I can’t access any of he 8 cameras on my system. Basically I’ve bought a house and the cameras were already there, I’ve bought a NVR and obviously the cameras won’t load due to the password being wrong. There’s no reset button on the cameras as was opened them. I’ve exported the XML files to hikvisison I’ve then tried resetting them on SADP and it says device rejected.

Any chance of contacting the previous owner and obtaining the user/pass for the cameras?

Sorry to hear that. It's a 9 year old camera with a tiny sensor for 4MP., likely poor nighttime performance...maybe when you can afford it, replace them with new 4MP cams with a 1/1.8" sensor and that are compatible with the NVR you bought.

BTW, what model NVR did you buy?

That 5.3.3 version of camera firmware has a backdoor security vulnerability that should allow the configuration file to be exported without credentials.
If that works - the configuration file can be decrypted and decoded to reveal the admin password in plain text.

Suggestion :
Set the PC IP address to be in the same range as the NVR PoE ports, such as 192.168.254.100 edit had a typo
Connect the PC to an unused NVR PoE port
Then in the PC browser, use this URL to hopefully pull a copy of the configuration file :

If that works OK, zip up the configuration file and attach it here.
Maybe also try it with another camera just in case there is another different password.

excelllent thanksa lot that worked amazing.

seen as you seem to be the only one who could help, all cameras are now showing and in the hik app, only thing thats weird is the dome ptz shows on the hik app and you can control it etc on when on the same network, however when you arent the device says offline

That's good!
And well done for managing to pull the configuration file.

I'm sorry, but I've never used HikConnect (if that's what you are referring to), it's not something I'd trust.
But check the PTZ has correct network settings, such as the default gateway.
