HikConnect Issue or HDD Issue

Hello This is my 1st post here and looking forward to discussions here.

I have the following Hikvision NVR
DS-7616NXI-I2/S

and the main issue that I face is that the playback on my ios or android device takes a lot of time [ about 2-3 mins ] sometimes even more than that and this is for all the cameras

how do I solve this ?

More details if it helps-

There are 2 HDDs in NVR
One Is a 4 YR Old WD PURPLE [4tb] And the other is Toshiba 4TB 3 yr old.
the nvr and the hikconnect app are up to date.


Should I change the drives?
Please suggest.

And the phone is connected by what method to the NVR?
On the same LAN, via Wifi?
From an external location over the internet, using a GSM connection?
From an external location on another LAN?

how do I solve this ?
How does playback perform when using a browser on a PC on the same LAN to the web GUI of the NVR?

the problem is especially with iphone sometimes android also , whether it is on same LAN or on GSM it takes a lot of time always
playback on browser on same lan is very fast as it should be not even takes 30 sec.

I blame Hik connect backend issues :)

Had alot of problems just a like, sometimes nvr firmware solved it, sometimes readding to hik connect solved it. Sometimes there was no solving, it was simply and plain bad.

Tbh its a rare occasion it happens, and to be honest i believe its some kind of incompatibility between fw and backend.
