I recently ordered a 16 channel NVR from a company called DSDT security products out of china. I'm not having any issues with the language or date. My problem is that I am not able to connect to the Hik-Online DNS server, I called hikvision and they told me that the device was not made for the American market. My question is would there be a way around being able to use the hik-online dns? I'm currently getting an error message that says server connection failed, I'm guessing the serial number is being blacklisted from hikvision's end. I'm using cat 6 and I'm receiving live feed from the camera on the NVR so I know the connection is not a problem. I really just need to be able to use the 2 way audio via the camera on the app, could I do this with a regular external IP address or do I need the dns server? Also am I going to be able/how to use ezviz7? Any help would be greatly appreciated and rewarded.
