Hi Everyone

This is my first post, im hoping to find some assistance with a problem we are facing.
I have installed a 16ch nvr with 16 poe ports (hikvision) at a customers place. We have so far connected 6 cameras however only 5 of them show up with plug and play.
The 6th camera has got power according to the front led lights.
Suspecting a faulty cable I have connected the camera directly to the nvr with a shorter cable and it showed up however then suddenly two other cameras went off.

Please advise if im doing something wrong. Any assistance will be appreciated.

Many thanks

Maybe faulty cables all round, as suggested by the shorter cable bringing the non-working camera to life.

What standard of cable - solid copper, stranded. CCA, length, wiring scheme, how tested?
What standard of PoE for the (unspecified) NVR and (unspecified) cameras?

What model NVR and What make an model cameras ?
Beside bad cables
What about drawing to much POE power , the NVR user interface should show you the power draw.

This looks that the power budget of the PoE is insufficient to feed all the cams.
