Hikvision 7616 nxi stuck full screen live

Hi. Was setting up the system and everything was going well. Stepped away for a bit and system was in full screen live mode. Pressed ESC and wouldn’t exit. Turned system on and off. Screen shows system starting message but from there goes directly back to full screen mode.
Any help on how to exit this?

Right-click the mouse button for the menus so you can set Live View up the way you want it.

Right clicking doesn’t bring up a list and I can’t see the mouse pointer though I know it works on my computer

OK, so the mouse isn't working on the NVR.
Presumably you've tried another mouse and the other USB port?

I have. Both the mouse that came with the nvr and track pad on kvm. Neither worked

Have you tried the mouse by itself, without the KVM?
I'm wondering if the KVM might inhibit the mouse.

Mystery solved menu output was set to hdmi (TV) instead of vga (KVM)
