Hi Everyone.
I bought some Hikvision 3mp and 4mp from China and they show on SADP, but I can't see them on my browser or any other scanner tools.
I also used http://arllc.net/findipcam/ to locate the cameras,
my other camera show up, but can't see any Hikvision cameras.

Hikvision camera: DS-2CD3145F-IS
Software version: V5.3.3

-------------------------------------------------------------
Problem was fixed.

I modified the ip address of Hikvision Camera in SADP tool and give it a unig ip address between 1-100, and made sure that ip address is not used by any other device.
192.168.x.x.11 is the new ip and now its online.

sounds like you got it sorted?...

i don't understand why they don't just ship these things with dhcp enabled by default.
that would prevent so many of these sorts of issues...

Yes, it was OK for the first one, and I am stuck on the second camera.
when I try modifying the IP on SADP,I get an error message " cant modify the setting.."
I tried the same password as the first camera which is 123456789abc, because they both came from china.

Many times I had to put the http port number :80 after the IP of the cam to gain access. Just happened yesterday on a no brand camera.

Also puzzling to me is how SADP would accept a password if these new Hiks are now giving pop up dialogs that ask you to create new passwords. Indicating no password was set. I had to create passwords via http before being able to make changes in SADP. Not sure if that was the only option but that's how I'm currently setting them up.

That sounds like you are using the 2.x version of SADP.
SADP 3.x supports the new 'device activation' feature.

Indeed I was, and had no IDEA the new SADP supports new activation.

So with this new feature, we shouldn't be trying to enter any default passwords correct? Im assuming it will prompt for new password input if its factory fresh just as it does via http?

Yes, you are correct.
No default passwords now on factory-fresh cameras - device activation is the requirement.
