Hikvision ColorVu + 4K (DS-2CD2087G2-L)

So is there a problem this first batch of cameras?
First batch maybe the best chips, new chips cams will come out later, i think can be in at March. Will test it out then will know well.

Would be nice to have comparison of the batches if that's the case. Hopefully the difference is negligible

I think can be OK, maybe just a small part will be changed which will not effect the function.

These are Brand New camera's on the Market Just came out and I doubt they will be changing any sensors unless they bring a newer model out. I would buy direct from Hikvision Authorised seller.

And is Andy not authorized? Seems like he is highly recommend here

He sells unbranded no-logo cameras.
And he's not in this list: Authorized Distributors
And I would NOT recommend him
I'm selling my Dahua setup I bought from him. None of the issues I reported were resolved and some of the questions he simply ignores.

Tried to hook it up to my Dahua NVR and it doesn't work quite right. The recording has lots of skipped frames, like if the network bandwidth was not enough.
I maxed out all the settings though.
Will try to record on internal SD instead

Maybe cut back on the frames per second???

Sorry you got a headache to deal with. I might wait to order now ;-)

Recording to SD card works just fine, I think it's an issue with the Dahua NVR or something else.
I'll also try to record to network share and Synology NAS later

I'm ordering for $200 from an authorized Hik dealer. It's for the non microphone version (DS-2CD2087G2-L), but I dont want to deal with gray market. I'm eager to hear about the quality of the footage you're getting!

I'd say it's just a 4k version of 5442
here are a few shots to compare
note that I was holding the hik camera in my hands and the jpegs from hik camera are more compressed

5442: (with some manual exposure setting I did to reduce ghosting)
