That's very impressive indeed, will have to hurry the supplier up to get some 4mm ones :). So impressive that I am not sure I will need to get 5442"s anymore unless I need the zoom for something. Is that an inbuilt mic also, 2 way or just 1 ?. Even comes in nice box, better than my Dahua NVR come in (No marketing budget spent on that at all :))

Yes I would have gone for 4mm in all honestly but 2.8mm gives me the wide view I have the PTZ if I need to Zoom in anywhere. It is a 1 way MIC. Yes this is a GENUINE Hikvision from an Authorised seller not a Grey Market Import you get from China. I still have not had time to put the right settings in it but I am confident it will be better again. You can see from 1/150th Sec to 1/60th Sec is a little brighter but hardly any difference in motion blur even @ 1/20th Sec it's impressive.

I have set the smart function for Face detection at my gate and it works flawless on every capture, the Hik software runs sweet.

Does the camera have audio output ports?
I want to connect a speaker or siren.

I ordered one on AliExpress.

Impressive images, If only I could get these cameras here in the Netherlands for UK prices. My only other good option is to buy them from Andy. Good replacement for my Dahua 5231R-Z cameras.

What prices can you get in the UK? Can you share your reseller link?

I can not get them here for UK prices, no reseller ships outside the UK. Retailers could ship but there wil be VAT and other import duties now since Brexit.

I just got mine from Andy! That was fast 4 days from China to US California wow.

I can get that Trade Prices as have Trade account, that's why alot cheaper. Supplier only has the 2mm ones at moment. Supplier is DVS in UK for Hikvision

I am getting them Trade Prices as have Trade account and so is ljw2k, that's why alot cheaper. Supplier has only has the 2mm ones at moment.

One of my suppliers in US has 4mm, and the other has 2.8. Annoying dealing with 2 different vendors, but at least I know they are authentic and not gray market junk.

Are there any special requirements for a trading account? To be honest, I just want to buy cameras for my own use.

Unfortunately I am your worst nightmare when it comes to spending money, I will get them from whoever is the cheapest and can supply in new mint condition. I have had camera's from Andy, I still get cameras from Andy for myself. But if I get them for customers I get from a authorized supplier as then I can have a 24hr replacement if anything goes wrong. If I did not have trade accounts or Andy was cheaper than trade and the cameras for for my own personal use. I would use Andy. So, as I say, a nightmare Customer :).

A trade account from other suppliers or a individual or company that is likely to buy substantial amounts of equipment. In my case I am a sole trader but install for others as and when customers want me too. I don't earn anough installing to make it a business but all CCTV suppliers in UK have let me have a trade account based on exactly what I have just explained.

These cameras are actually my very first ip cameras purchased. I been lurking these forums for a while. My old camera setup was a old 2010 Logitech webcam pointing outside and a small laptop. So these should be a nice upgrade from thisCarport - 2017-11-17 02.00.19.jpg

Trade £117 let's see what the Chinese sellers come back @

Hikvision does not allow anyone, or consider them authorized to sell our products on open internet platform such as eBay, Amazon, Aliexpress, Snapdeal etc.

Before purchasing Hikvision products from an organisation, all customers should satisfy themselves that the company is “authorized”. You should also consider if you are willing to risk your security systems by knowingly buying a product that could fail to safeguard the assets it was supposed to protect. The benefits of buying through authorized partners are clear:

  • Outdated & modified firmware versions
  • Zero official support
  • Non upgradeable firmware
  • Buggy menus and performance
  • No warranty whatsoever
  • Malware or backdoors in equipment
  • No Support
In addition to the above issues, a faulty Hikvision Grey Market Camera or NVR will then be subject to-

  • Returning the camera to China (at your expense)
  • Awaiting a non official replacement from China
  • Storefront may have disappeared by the time a return is needed
