Hikvision ddns pointing at router not camera!

Hi all! I am losing my mind. Followed all the instruction carefully, forwarded ports(80,8000), set up camera with serial number etc, and the hikvision link mean to point at my camera sends me to the login page of my router and not the camera login page!

Any ideas why this would be?

Without knowing your routers make and model, I would hazard a guess that you may have forwarded the ports correctly but the routers management port is still set to port 80, hence the issue.

Look in your routers configuration to change the management port to something other than 80 (i.e. 81)

Thank you so much it is a generic netgear sold by our local telco. I will check the remote management and give feedback.

Spot on router port is still set to port 80 default, change this to 8080, and all will work as it should.
