Hi Everyone,
I'm new to the site and I was hoping anyone could assist.

I decided to purchase the Hikvision DS-2CD2232-I5 from ebay. I received it and it worked fine till I started to play with the settings. ( :sad2::sad2: I'm such an idiot) Now I can't get to the login screen. I can see the camera when using the HIKvision tools I download from their site. I can even change the IP address but I can't get the login screen of the camera. I think I changed port number but not 100% sure.

Can anyone tell if "Hikvision DS-2CD2232-I5" has a reset button ? If yes, where do I find it ? If not, should I reload the firmware ?

Any help would be much appreciated
Thanks again

have you used the SADP utility. It will tell you what ip address and port your cameras are using, and allow you to change them. They are set to port 8000 in the factory

Note, the port displayed in SADP is the media port not the http port...you use a simple port scanner like fing on your cell phone connected to your network to find all the ports that are transmitting..

Steve6690, thank you for the reply.
Yes, i have. It shows, 192.168.0.100 and the port is 8000. I go to my browser and and enter the IP address and I get page can't be displayed.

I can't be 100% sure what I changed but I definitely changed something thaty messed it up. It was working fine till I started playing with the network settings.

Thank you fenderman
I'll try that when I get home

The very good Windows open-source tool 'ONVIF Device Manager' from sourceforge.net will show you under 'network settings' the HTTP port and loads of other things about the camera.
A must-have, as well as SADP.

Update:
I used flng to scan my network. It found the camera 192.168.0.100 but when I clicked Scan services, it found 0 services.
I also tried to ping using Fing, but nothing.

not sure what to do now, maybe reload the firmware ?

Thanks again for everyone kind assistance.

Try using onvif device manager as suggested by alastairstevenson.
