Hi this is my first post so I hope it’s in the right place

I’ve just installed a HikVision DS-2CD2347G1-L(U) with the 2.8mm lens but I’m wondering if I’m better off using a 4mm or 6mm to get a better picture on the area of interest which is my driveway and not so much either side and beyond

I’ll try and attach some photos for reference taken from the default setting at dusk and then after I had adjusted the gain to 50, WDR to 100 and DNR to 100

There is a flat roof below the camera which you can just about see the edges of

I do not at present have any floodlighting on the driveway but am open to suggestions if this would help improve the quality rather than changing the camera

I can relocate the existing 2.8mm to another area of home and as it’s my first time installing HikVision cameras it was a guess with a view to seeing what

I've just used a web browser instead of the iPhone app and switched to main stream and it looks like this which is great!

Can't see a way of switching from main to sub stream on the iPhone app so I don't know what stream I'm viewing on that but this image quality means I wouldn't worry about changing the camera as it looks good to me

A 4MM or 6MM will give you a more narrow field of view which will get rid of the view of your neighbor's area. Is there any type of lighting such as streetlight or porch light? I have the same camera with the LED turned off and it is able to see great! I don't have the WDR on. I feel when WDR is on it does not look at good.
