hikvision DS-2CD3345-I activation setup problems

folks
i purchased 2 hikvision 4.0mp cameras from ebay and they arrived the other day, it has been nothing but a nightmare i have not had aly luck with the hikvision tools to register/ activate the cameras or reset the password the ebay seller said 123456789abc was the pw that dosent work hikvision usa was NO help the ebay seller was no help the serial numbers are as follows

the time code from software tool says 1970 01/01
any guideance would be appreciated i have been banging my head into the wall for a few days now

i have tryied the different sw tools different PW combinations with no luck thanks in advance

What does SADP show for the status of the cameras, ie active / inactive Hangzhou Hikvision Digital Technology Co. Ltd.

it is rejecting the enabling of the dhcp option with empty or 12345 or 12345abc passwords.
So the are already activated with a different password?

My Hikvision NVR isnt connecting due to password reject too.

What is the ip that shows on the ip Detection tool? Try to Change the internal NIC IP address to match the first 3 set of number.

For example, if sadp shows your camera as 192.0.0.64, change your internal NIC(this refers to the built-in POE) to 192.0.0.1 then they can talk to each other.

My camera is on the same subnet, talking to one another isn't an issue. The issue is the password the seller has given it wasn't provided to either of us. iVMS shows the device as active.

Are you able to get to the web interface of it? I had issues where ivms show it as active, but in reality it wasn't active...once i get to the web interface it prompts me to make a new password to activate it.

Your model might or might not have a reset button on the pigtail (its either a 3rd cable with a black button, or a little silver button that is located at the junction where it splits into the POE and DC12V) then you can reset the pw too if you can find a reset button.

Just as an update, I have contacted the seller and he's given me the password. It was 1234567a for anyone curious, I hope it works out.

Thx, that was the password i needed!
Now i can set DHCP on!
