Hikvision DS-7604NE / 4P can’t handle more than 4 cameras

Hi guys,
Do you really chase the wind but i thought that i can add more cameras to my NVR than only those 4 which are connected to built-in POE port, to be more precise im trying to add DS-2CD2432F-IW camera (with separate psu) to my Nvr and it says: no more IP camera allowed. I changed ipc IP to 254.6 but still same error and there are no free D channels also, so not possible at all?

Nope - it's a 4-channel NVR. End of.

Thanks for your quick reply.
Then have to get another NVR.
Because in my other location we do have Dahua built in coax ports NVR and separate POE switch and this has already 34 cameras connected and can add more most probably.

it's typically limited by the firmware to a number of cams (or MP/s) that the processor can handle.
while you might be able to hack the FW such that it removes the limit, it won't help if the processor (CPU) just can't deal with the load...
