Hello,

I recently bought a second hand NVR Hikivision model DS-7608NI-K2 but I haven't any password. When I bought it, seller told me he didn't remenber password of unit, it was a good opportunity to have a good price but I couldn't imagine it will be so complexe ...

After looking some thread dedicated to recover password, I was not able to fix my issue !

Here is specifications of my NVR thru SADPTool

I tried to send same FW (NVR_K51_BL_ML_STD_V3.4.91_161220) and upper version on NVR using TFTP, not works, seems FW is not send to NVR, there is kind of loop, I never got "Transmit" still "Transmitting"

Right now I haven't any Hikvision cam's to try backdoor

Someone already get this behavior when he tried to update/upload FW ?

Interesting information about size of .dav, mine is equal to 44MB.
I tried TFTP32 but no dialog between TFTP & NVVR
Do you know if I need to setup something special ?

It's apparently possible, though I have not tried it myself, to run both the Hikvision tftp updater and the normal tftp server together to get round the problem.
That does sound unlikely though if they both listen on port 69.
Maybe experiment with which is started first.

And the normal tftp server can be used if the serial console is used to handle the update.

But my motherboard is not the same as showed, in fact, I have two connectors so I don't know which one is the good one :)

Hi
Send me a sticker photo from the DVR and export the xml file. I will try to reset the settings. After exporting the file, do not turn off the DVR and do not restart it

What models of cameras are connected to the NVR, are any with firmware that is 3.4.0 or earlier?
You can see the cameras if you install SADP and connect the PC to an unused NVR PoE port.

SADP Tool

Locate Hikvision brand cameras within the same network, including their IP address and port.
