Hikvision DS-7616NI-E2/16P Maximum Frame Rate At 1080p With 8 Cameras?

Hello Everyone,

I am trying to plan an 8 camera system with Hikvision products.
DS-7616NI-E2/16P NVR with DS-2CD2632F-IS and DS-2CD2642FWD-IZS cameras.

The specs for the NVR say 16-ch@4CIF, 12-ch@720P, 6-ch@1080P
I think this means: 1 - 11 cameras at 1080p, 12-15 cameras at 720p, and 16 cameras at 4CIF.

I assume that would mean that I could have 8 cameras at 1080p,
but the frame rate is not specified.

Can anyone tell me if I use 8 cameras at 1080p what maximum frame rate I could use?

TIA

@URBngWatchedYou are looking at the simultaneous playback specs...the nvr is not limited by FPS but rather by the incoming bitrate. Note that 15fps is way more than you will ever need.

Please forgive my lack of experience.

If I am using 8 cameras and the NVR's maximum bandwidth is 160Mbps then would the maximum bitrate from each camera simply be 20Mbps ?

The camera specs list 12Mbps max for the DS-2CD2632F-IS and 16Mbps for the DS-2CD2642FWD-IZS .
But what frame rate does that translate to at 1080p?

You will not max out that NVR with 8 cameras.
Bitrate does not translate to frame rate. They are separate and distinct.

Thank you.

One more question.
Does cloud storage, EzViz, come free when purchasing these Hikvision products?
Or does an end user have to purchase / subscribe for a fee to get the usage of Hikvision's cloud service?

I dont believe ezviz cloud storage works with the NVR's, not sure, but it would certainly not be free. There is too much data that would have to be uploaded to make it viable.

Okay, thank you.

Incidentally, while awaiting your reply, I found an article that said 1080p at 30fps necessitates about 5Mbps per camera for bandwidth.
So if that is correct, I should be able to use the DS-7608NI-E2/8P for my 8 cameras at 1080p and save some money on the equipment ???

The price difference is not that significant. Cant hurt to have extra channels for future expansion.
