I have a Hikvision DS-7616NI-E2/16p NVR running version V3.4.92 Build 170518. I had two cameras fail. I want to add the following 2 new cameras:

1. DS-2cd2143G2-IU
2. DS-2cd2343G2-IU

Using SADP I can see each camera and log in via browser to view the cameras. However I cannot use Plug and Play or manual mode to add these 2 cameras to my existing NVR. The attached pictures are the errors I am receiving. I can see the cameras via the NVR but I receive an error when I change the IP address to one of the POE ports not used on the NVR. Plug and Play does not work. . Here are my questions:

1. Is my NVR outdated and will not support the newer cameras due to software limitations?
2. If I have to purchase a new NVR will my existing older Hikvision POE cameras ( DS-2CD 2100 series cameras) work with new NVR? ( I am thinking of the Hikvision AcuSense DS-7616NXI-K2/16P 16-Channel 12MP NVR, but still need to research)

Thanks for your input.

By that do you mean that you reset the camera to 'Inactive' - can be done through the camera web GUI that you have access to - and then connected it to an NVR PoE port that's operating in Plug&Play mode?

Alternatively, change the camera IP address to be the same as that expected by an NVR PoE port, with the camera admin password being the same as the NVR admin password.
I'd expect the camera to connect, when the PoE port is either in Plug&Play mode, or manual using the Hikvision protocol.

The attached pictures are the errors I am receiving.
Do you have the camera video codec set to h.265 ? The E-series does not support h.264, that would give an error.

Thank you for your input. I performed the following:
1. Unchecked h.265 on the NVR.
2. Upgraded firmware to V3.4.96 Build 171128
3. Reset each new camera to inactive state.
4. restarted NVR.

All new cameras are now showing. On another note I had a camera stop working, Camera was 7 years old and I thought it went bad. even though the network plug was indicating transmission. I removed the camera and tested the cat5 cable. one wire ( Wire #6 on my tester) was not working and caused the camera to malfunction. The culprit was a squirrel in my soffit area. Repaired the cable by cutting and re-crimping another Cat5 plug. I am glad I left extra wire in each run so I was able to cut out the chewed cable and just crimp on another Cat 5 connector.

Thanks Again!
