Hi, I need to build a cross line detection system. We will use 14 cameras + Hikvision DS-7616NXI-I2/S. The question is about the cameras - do they have to be Hikvision cameras with line crossing functionality? Can non-Hikvision cameras be used, eg Longse BMMB5XFG400? Or RaySharp CH258MNA-2812PW?

Yes, they do, for that number of cameras.
The cameras must fully support the Hikvision protocols that control that functionality.
I've not used those specific models - but earlier models only supported motion detection events on Hikvision NVRs.
What do the manufacturer specifications say for the level of Hikvision protocol support?
For better compability i buy Hikvision cameras, Longsee not supported cross detection. Tnx for help.
