Hikvision DS-KD8003-IME - New video doorbell

Hey guys, anyone know how to create a user in the configuration webpage for the 8003? I want not to use the admin user for the rtsp streams and i miss the option to add additional user for that.

Hello, been a long time lurker but decided to sign up as I have some questions I'm hoping those in the know can help me with.

I have a hikvision intercom system with the following devices:

1x DS-9510 indoor station
1x DS-KH3E0505P-E PoE switch
2x DS-KD8003 outdoor stations
2x DS-KD-M card reader modules

Currently have all Cat6 cable ran to where these devices will be installed.

My situation is that they will be at 2 different gate locations. I want the ability to use the KD8003 to unlock the gate via an electric strike / mortise lock.

Will this work ? Should I be looking at anything else ?

That sounds like it should work. Just set one gate as "Main" doorstation and the 2nd as "Sub" doorstaion. If you want a secure connection for the striker use a

From the quick google I just done, I don't fully understand how this additional device works or what sort of cabling requirements it needs.

I literally just watched that video and was about to reply.

I understand what it does now, but don't think I'll need it for my residential application.
Its used for any door that needs to remain secure if the 8003 is removed from the wall by an intruder.
I'm using one on my garage door with a keypad. If someone removes the 8003 & keypad to gain entry it won't open the door by just sticking the +- together

For a mag lock I can see 100% why you'd want one. I'm pretty sure the Lockwood lock I'm going to be using fails closed if power is cut to it, but has a key over ride from the inside.

Also mine are all flush mounted with a stainless steel plate over the front so smashing it off won't be easy.

Hikvision Door Station Call Dropping Issue via Grandstream PBX

Devices & Firmware

  • Hikvision Door Station: DS-KB8113-IME1(B) - V2.2.60_231204
  • Hikvision Indoor Station: DS-KH6350-WTE1 - V2.2.100_250114
  • PBX: Grandstream UCM

Call Flow

  1. Door Station calls a ring group on the PBX.
  2. The Indoor Station rings first.
  3. If not answered (30s) , the call continues to Grandstream phone extensions.

Issue

  • When the Indoor Station is included in the ring group, the call drops after 14 seconds.
  • Call & ring time limits are set to 60 seconds on both the Door Station and Indoor Station.
  • If the Door Station calls a Grandstream phone extension, it rings correctly with sound.
  • If the Door Station calls the Indoor Station via PBX, the ringing tone is missing on the Door Station.
  • Packet capture shows the Indoor Station sending a SIP 486 (Busy Here) after 14 seconds.

PBX & Network Settings

  • SIP Session Timers: min SE = 180, session expires = 1800.
  • Force Timer: No effect whether enabled or disabled.
  • Codec: Video & audio work fine, sound and video ok. Just dropping the call. Even video preview is working before awnsering.
  • No SIP ALG or NAT issues (LAN connection).
  • Direct call from Door Station to Indoor Station via PBX results in the same issue.
  • Hikvision protocol (without PBX) works fine, does not drops after 14 seconds.

Troubleshooting Done

  • Tested all DTMF modes → No effect.
  • Packet capture shows the Door Station sends BYE and SIP 430 Cancel after 14 seconds, despite the 60s ring time settings.
  • Sometimes the Indoor Station sending SIP 486 (Busy Here) after 14 seconds.

Looking for Suggestions

  • Why is the Indoor Station rejecting the call after 15 seconds?
  • Any PBX settings that could prevent this behavior?
  • Any firmware settings on the Indoor Station that could extend the ringing duration?
  • I don´t want to use hik protocol because the minimum time to failover to sip extensions is to high (65 seconds).

Any help would be appreciated! Thanks in advance.

Hello again

I'm wanting to update the firmware on my KD-DS8003-IME1.

I'm currently on firmware version V2.2.63 build 230606.

I tried googling where to download and check what the latest firmware version is however I couldn't find a) what the latest current version is and b) where to download it ?

I'm in Australia if that even matters ?

Thankyou for the links

According to them they list V.3.7.1 build 250317 as the latest version. Is that correct or is there newer ? It would be nice if they had a tool where you type in the model and it says this is the latest, or am I missing something

Well I'm assuming it's B as after the IME1 I have the letter (B)

Now them two links you sent me have two very different sets of firmware..

The first link shows v2.2.78 build 24012

The second link shows V.3.7.1 build 250317

Do I just go the v.3.7.1 ?

Ok so I updated the DS-8003 cameras to v.3.7.1 firmware and everything appears to be working well apart from one thing.

Notifications from things like motion detection are really delayed. Anyone else having this issue and is there a known fix ?

I haven't updated the indoor unit (KH9510) to the latest firmware yet. Could that be the issue?

@daniel_tofan
