Hi
I have recently purchased a HikVision DS2CD2132F-I to accompany 2 DS-2CD2032-I cameras i already own and have set up without issues

I have tried everything to get access to the camera but i cant seem to find it on my network.
I have tried the following

Installed SADP
installed Onvif Device Manager
Tried multiple Cat6 cables
Changed ip of my machine to 192.0.0.151 and tried to connect to 192.0.0.64
Ran Angry Scanner on 192.0.0.0 - 192.0.0.254 (nothing other than my machine)

SV: V5.2.0_140721
11/2014

Any ideas or do i have a faulty device?

The link light on the switch might flash once or twice but thats it from where its patched too

Thanks
N

I have also reset the camera by holding down the button for 40 odd seconds hoping that would fix it. It didnt.

Thanks

How are you powering the camera, and have you tried an alternate known good power source?

Just a suggestion to see if there is any life at all in the camera:
The older cameras use 192.0.0.64 as the default IP address.
With your PC on, say, 192.0.0.128, use 'ping -t 192.0.0.64' and power cycle the camera.
Normal would be 2 or 3 responses a few seconds after power on, and none after.
If you get more later, it may be a boot loop.
If you get none at all, and you are sure about the power supply, this suggests a faulty camera.

Repeat with:
The newer cameras use 192.168.1.64 as the default IP address.
With your PC on, say, 192.168.1.128, use 'ping -t 192.168.1.64' and power cycle the camera.

One note about the reset button; you have to first disconnect the power source, push and hold the button, then apply power, continue holding down on the button for about 30 seconds or so after the power has been applied.

Do the IR lights give a red glow when you first apply power? They should.

As a side note, you mention installing SADP. Does this find the cam at all? If the IR gives a red glow but SADP cannot find the device, my first speculation would be a bad firmware....In which you could try to TFTP a firmware upgrade.

What's the IP address as seen on SADP, and what is the IP address of your PC?
SADP can find cameras on IP network segments that are not accessible to your PC's IP address.

Sorry for the hi jack on this link ,
I can see both cameras on SADP both with identical ip4 and subnet info but I can only open one of them the 2132. When I double click the ip on SADP to open the 3132 it wont open on browser. All browser settings work fine for the one.
