Hikvision event and constant record modes at the same time ?

Is it possible to set the recording mode for a Hikvision 7608 IP system to be event so that if i need to search i can find events easily, but also have it record constantly in case its needed for compliance ?

You need to be more specific about the model number - that covers multiple series of NVRs.
