Hi all,

I'm trying to reset / reload firmware to a iDS-9632NXI-I8/16S - current firmware is V4.1.28build 200603 (i believe this to be a 1st generation model?)

Have done this a few times for other units via Terminal / TFTP

Trouble I'm having is the firmware seems to be rejected during update via TFTP.

Under HIKs portal, have found two potential listings;

Home » portal » Product Firmware » Hikvision » 04 Back Ends » NVR » 05 Deepinmind Series [iDS-77 96 NXI] » 1st generation iDS DeepinMind » iDS-9600_7700NXI
There is two versions listed for 4.1.28 - NVR_K51_V20_FA_BL_ML_STD_V4.1.28_200603.zip and NVR_K51_V20_S_BL_ML_STD_V4.1.28_200603.zip
Neither of these seem to work

If any one can offer any advice on what one it should be, or if there is a newer version that is compatible, or any other advice that would be great!

Thanks
James

Using the serial console RS-232 connection?
If so - with what command?
And with which tftp server - presumably not the Hikvision tftp updater with its 32MB filesize limit?

Hi,

Thanks for your reply.

I've literally just had success!

Yes was using serial console, on stopping U-boot, it gave me the option to upgrade straight off so went with that.

I wasn't aware that the HIK TFTP had a file size limit. I did try it obviously with no success.
I tried with TFTP tool from Ph. Jounin, which id had success with previously, but none on this occasion.

After reading a thread somewhere I tried the SolarWinds TFTP and worked straight away. (uploaded incredibly quickly it seemed given file size)

Only odd thing that has happened is instead of V4.1.28build 200603, its on V4.61.025build 220905. Perhaps it auto updated itself? (not sure if this is a thing on later models? I've not used a iDS model before)
