I have recently upgraded firmware from 3.0.x or similar version to 3.3.1... And after upgrade I have lost motion detection on DS-2CD2432F-I (Cube) cameras. I have two other cameras DS-2CD2232-I5 Bullet IR and DS-2CD2532-I(S) MiniDome and they are working as before, detecting movement and recording.

I have replicated all settings regarding movement, draw zones, playing with sensitivity, various options and it simply won't trigger movement recording. I have searched log files, and no any movement alarm indicators. All cameras are connected, can be seen on web interface, monitor, apps... All cameras can be accessed and configured through NVR, so everything seems fine except no motion recording.

I have tested cameras, turning on Alarm sound when motion occurs, and it works... alarm can be heard when move occurs, just nvr don't record anything on those cube cameras. I have done first upgrade 3.3.1 and that happened, then tried even newer 3.3.4 and everything is the same. Then I tried upgrading firmware on camera, from 3.1 to 3.2.x and later to latest and no any improvement.

Any idea what should i try, or what version of NVR FW to get back to?

Are you getting the same results with line crossing detection and intrusion detection?
I have searched log files, and no any movement alarm indicators.
In the NVR or the cameras?
It might be interesting to enable 'Rules' (Live View parameters, Local configuration) on the camera and check what it shows when movement occurs in the camera Live View and also the NVR Live View.

Strange, I don't have any logs on camera. I am not sure does connection to NVR means that all logging goes there, or maybe I need to have SD card or some kind of storage directly attached to camera in order to have logs on camera. When I opened camera motion settings in GUI of NVR, directly watching on TV, I saw red squares showing wherever motion took place. It just doesn't get saved on NVR.

In logs on NVR I can see that camera that are working correctly have Alert events when motion occurs on their respective channels (D1,5,6) but that never shows for cube camera's. Since nothing has changed except firmware of NVR, and settings are the same for working and non-working cameras, i think it is some kind of incompatibility between DS-2CD2432F-I and NVR new firmware. Now I have two Cube cameras with newest and original firmware, and NVR with 3.3.4 firmware. I guess next step would be to try to downgrade firmware to most stable one, but I have no clue which one has good reputation, neither which was original.

I've have the same issue, it was fixed by deleting the camera's from the NVR then resetting the camera's back to default then re-adding them.
All working after that.

But I would check that they are all region matched too.

I am noob, how to find out are they region matched? and why it is important? Does it mean where are they produced, and target market for distribution?

I have just tried reseting all parameters on webcam, but problem still persist. Do I have to do some cold reset, some hardware reset or you just did fro camera admin web page?

I have the same nvr as your. after the HD full. the nvr reboot every 10 or 30 mins. total 12 cameras. after I formatted the HD. no more rebooting. I tried replaced the HD,but when fulled. same shit. anyone know why??

Do you have 'Enable Overwrite' ticked under 'Device parameters | Advanced' ?
What model / brand of HDD are you using? There is an HDD compatibility list published by Hikvision, but I doubt if people pay it much attention.

I think I found what was the problem with this setup. DS-2CD2432F-I (Cubes) cameras have PIR sensor, which is turned on by default I think. When I turned off in camera admin page, then everything started to work again. Ill have to confirm this with third one, but two so far had motion detection recording once PIR was turned off.

Well that's a strange incompatibility, it sounds like a bug somewhere. It sounds like some specific combination is troublesome.
I have a DS-2CD2432-IW and the PIR sensor is active, so are motion detections, 7816N-E2/8P 3.0.8 firmware.

I have managed to upgrade all cameras to V5.3.0 build 150513, my NVR is on V3.3.4 build 15061, and somehow using all configuration options web gui, IVMS, NVR GUI, i made sure that all options and settings are in sync, and correct and same on all cameras. That was tougher then it sounds, as some settings were being overridden either by camera or by NVR making it inconsistent during ugpgrade/reset to default/configure process.

All cameras are set for motion detection, everywhere in NVR and webcam. Recording schedule is also set identically across cameras and NVR. And Cube cameras (three of them) wont trigger motion detect recording, neither indication in live view or NVR direct display. However, if I just tick option Basic Event/Other/PIR Alarm/Enable PIR Alarm, it start working correctly. Even if I turn off later that option, camera will continue to work correctly. However, if I reboot NVR while PIR Alarm is disabled, next time when I boot Cube cameras wont have motion detection until i check that option. So for me in order for this to work correctly I need to have PIR Alarm enabled on Cube cameras.

Hope this will help someone or hopefully Hikvision guys to solve this issue...
