Hikvision NVR DS-7608N-E2/8P Chinese problem.

Hello all,

I tried to upgrade my 7608 to a newer digicap.dav 3.4.98 file.
I orgininally bought the device in china, and the seller made it english himself, i guess.

After my upgrade the device won't boot and start beeping.

Then i connected the UART cable to my laptop and try to upgrade the firmware.
That one was only a succes when i upload original chinese firmware, the 3.3.4

I tried to convert an ML digicap file with the hiktools lang 2, and after the upgrade the device again respond to go to the hikvision factory and start beeping again.
Is there a way to make my 7608 english again?

I tried 3.3.4 EN and set it to lang 2, but no succes, send back to factory
I tried the 3.4.98 ML file with lang set to 2, but also send back factory
I tried 3.0.8 but the device won't boot, because it is not downgradeable it says.

So i'm stuck on 3.3.4 chinese, and try to deal with it to use batch configuration, but also that won't work, because the camera's aren't recognised becaus of the language mismatch.

Yes, but that only changes the language flag in the header of the firmware file.

There are at least a couple of methods.

If the device is old enough to have the 'bootpara data' that defines it held in plaintext in the flash partition, this can be edited in the same way that R0 series cameras can be converted to English.

Another way is to install modified (aka 'hacked to English') firmware.

Есть как минимум пара способов.

Если устройство достаточно старое, чтобы иметь «данные начальной загрузки», которые определяют его, хранящиеся в открытом виде во флэш-разделе, их можно редактировать так же, как камеры серии R0 могут быть преобразованы в английский язык.
Посмотрите этот пост, посмотрите, сможете ли вы следовать этому методу.
