Hello guys,

I am planning on installing some indoor cameras as well as out doors cameras from Nellys. I would like to know what is the advantage of using POE switch and the recommended Hikvision 7608NI-E2/8P 8. Can I still view what is going on in my house with the POE switch or I really need NVR in order to record and view at the same time. I am little confused. The NVR is kind of pricey as well, the 8 port POE is very reasonable.

Please advice.

Welcome to the forum..if you dont have an NVR you will not be able to record unless your cameras supports sd card or you use a pc based NVR.
