Hikvision Releases ColorVu IP cameras

I'm happy to see that they'll be available in turret form since Dahua has been neglecting releasing turrets for their Full Color and StarLight+ IP cameras so far (though they have been releasing turrets for HDCVI).

I picked up one of Dahua's Full Color bullets, but I'd much rather have it as a turret and with a 6mm lens instead of the 3.6mm lens I bought, so hopefully the turrets will be available re-branded as ipcamtalk.com :)

I wonder what sensor they're using for the 4MP 1/2". I assume it's not a Sony sensor as I can't find anything matching on their website.

Is that spec sheet right? The 4MP has better than the 2MP starlight performance due to the 1/1.8" sensor?

According to the spec the 4Mp has a larger sensor and a wider aperture so better performance. If this is all true then these cams won’t be cheap.

Indeed, the HiK also has smart IVS type features that the Dahua doesn’t seem to, but then again on CVI that’s done at the XVR..

@bigredfish Did you mean these cameras? They are 4MP with 1/1.8" sensors.
Those look like the ones. When they start making them with models that start with IPC (instead of HAC), I will be very happy (and very broke). :)

Nope.
They do make CVI 4MP Starlights that you linked to, but the feature being referred to in this thread is 'Full Color" cameras with no IR and White light LED's instead.
