HIKVision Tools - Advice for a Newbie

Hi,

I see there are a number of tools on the Hikvision website. Which are the valuable ones for the "typical" application? For instance I am unclear of the value of:

• VSPlayer
  
• USSC Web Video Plugin For DVR / NVR
  
• Format Converter

I will be using the Hikvsion NVR, although I do not have it yet. For the short term I have micro-SD card installed in the two mini-dome cameras are will initially be deploying. I expect we will have a modest number of cameras on our network <10 (starting with two).

In my view - SADP is a 'must have', and the Batch Configuration Tool is good for configuring Hikvision cameras with Chinese menus.
And the Drive Space Calculator is useful when just starting out.
VSplayer shouldn't be needed if your favourite player can already handle h.264 video, but useful if not.
