Hikvison DS-7104N-SN/P Admin password problems

I got my DS-7104N-SN/P NVR in the mail not long ago & just got my first camera in the mail today.

So I decided to setup the NVR & test the camera. I'm stuck on the setup Wizard.
I tried putting in "12345" as the default password, but it doesn't work.

So I messaged the seller & he said.
"Hello, The NVR with the newest firmware(V3.0.13_150503), these is no password , for the first time login, you need to create a new password."

So I tried I blank admin password, clicked the "New Password" box & typed my new password.
I still get "Incorrect admin Password. You still have 3 chances. Please try again."

I'm waiting for him to respond again & was wondering if any of you knew about this problem I'm having.

Enter the password 12345 in the top box that says "Admin Password"

Enter a new password in the box "New Password" and the same in the "Confirm" box

Then click Next

I've tried that & I still get the same message.
I'm pretty good with tech, I didn't imagine it would be this much trouble.




Still waiting on a message from the seller.

Guessing a bit (a lot) here - maybe the initial activation dialogue is only available via the web GUI, and what you are showing us in the screenshots is the normal password change screen, which is failing because it's not yet activated.
Try the web GUI and let us know what it shows.

Fixed it.

Got the firmware from the vendor & reset it with TFTP.
Set my own password & it's all good.

Now I just got to get PTZ working lol.

hey got a problem, in serial code..... trying to reset default pass.
where to find this serial code?
