Hikvsion won't allow me to change Configuration menu?

Hi everyone, some help needed please. I've managed to set my own ip cam install however having trouble with my sisters. She has the Hikvision NVR and Hik 4mb cams.
I've managed to get it to work locally however having problems configuring the preferred DNS servers, simply wont let me select the box in order to enter 8.8.8.8. I've also noticed the default gateway under config is also blank however I can change that also.
Can anyone shed any light on this problem?

Is this in the web GUI?
Are you using IE11 or Firefox, and has the 'webcomponents' plugin been installed successfully?
A good indication would be if you can see Live Video in the web GUI.
 
are you using dhcp or manual setup ? .. if you are using DHCP try manual. works better normally.
