Hitron Router - Cannot see IP camera connected

I have a hitron router

when i connected the IP camera to the router and go to router basic setting / connected devices - it does not show up
im trying to set up the camera on BI but i need to know the IP to connect to.
i do have the camera MAC address if that helps, not sure how to do this, i have been looking through threads but cant find anything

Not knowing make/model of camera, I can only advise that generally, most routers will only show a cam if an IP was assigned by the router's DHCP server, meaning if the cam's IP is static, you won't see it there.

What is the cam's make and model?

camera is IPC T2431T AS 2.8MM

That camera has a set default IP address of 192.168.1.108 If you're local network is not in the 192.168.1.x range you will not see the camera. Download the config tool from Dahua and use that to move the camera to a fixed IP address on your local network that is outside of the DHCP range of your router.

Here is how most of us get the cameras to the IP address of our system:

The default IP address of the camera is 192.168.1.108, which may or may not be the IP address range of your system.

Unhook a computer or laptop from the internet and go into ethernet settings and using the IPv4 settings manually change the IP address to 192.168.1.100

Then power up your camera and wait a few minutes.

Then go to INTERNET EXPLORER (needs to be Explorer and not Edge or Chrome with IE tab) and type in 192.168.1.108 (default IP address of Dahua cameras) and you will then access the camera.

Tell it your country and give it a user and password.

Then go to the camera Network settings and change the camera IP address to the range of your system and hit save.

You will then lose the camera connection.

Then reverse the process to put your computer back on your network IP address range.

Next open up INTERNET EXPLORER and type in the new IP address that you just gave the camera to access it.

OR use the IPconfig Tool, but most of us prefer the above as it is one less program needed and one less chance for the cameras to phone home.

sorry for all the questions, first camera im setting up with blueiris
on back on router it is 192 168 0 1
i am running router (hitron) to a cradle point, the cradle point address (if i search what is my IP on PC , is a 99.251 address)

Follow wittaj's instructions above to:

• Temporarily change the IP of a computer on your local network to a 192.168.1.x address
• Access the cam at 192.168.1.108
• Change the IP of the cam to a 192.168.0.x address
• Change the computer back to its original address.

so i changed the IPv4, hooked up camera, waited few minutes, tried the 192.168.1.108 in IE - internet explorer cannot display the webpage

even tried it with another dahua camera i have and same result

Is the camera being powered by a POE port or injector? Just plugging it into the router or computer or nonPOE switch will not turn it on.

When you first provide power to it after a few seconds do you hear the IR filter click?

Another new Dahua cam or one that's already installed and working?

You also can get the Dahua Config Tool which will find the cam across subnets and use that to change the IP.

Also uncheck uPNP.

so i changed camera IP to same as my IP (minus last # is different ...i.e. PC IP is 192.168.4.4, i made camera 192.168.4.101)
i have it connected

MODEM/ROUTER -> POE SWITCH -> CAMERA
i try to connect to it via blue iris - i put in IP and the user / pass i gave it, cant find it
anything im missing here ?

By "connected" you mean that when you open a browser on the BI server PC using the cam's IP it opens up the cam's embedded webGUI?
If that won't open the cam's webGUI then no, it's not connected.

When you changed the IP to 192.168.4.101 did you log back into it at that address to see if the change took effect?
