How to assign the path for the STORAGE folder?

Hi,

From what i recall i didn't had this issue with BI3, but i do now with BI4, its probably something easy but i cant seem to get it working. My BI server is on my signature, i use a SSD for OS and programs and WD Purple 6Tb exclusive for storing the BI recordings (the ssd has the BI program).

In the settings you can setup the db and new folder with inside the settings / clip and archiving, but the stored folder i dont see any place i can change the settings, and the problem is that its moving the clips to the SSD.

I have checked two bottom configure buttons but i still dont see any place to assign the the storage folder path,

So i come to you guys to see how can i setup the Storage folder pathing so it can be saved on the D:/BlueIris/Storage.

@Abula Simply select the storage folder form the dropdown where it says select to edit in the clips tab...in your image new is selected...
Also leave the DB folder on the SSD as recommended in the help file.

no problem. Also see my note above about placing the db folder in the ssd..I edited the post to include that so you might have missed it.

Ok ill leave the db on the SSD db folder, should i manually move the actual files to it or will it rebuild it?
 
Ok thanks for the tip.

One last question now that im setting up the Mechancial HDD for the storage. I see i can assign size for STORAGE and for the NEW, if i have 5000gb, do i have to match sum of both folders, for example NEW (1000GB) and STORAGE (4000GB) or would there be a recommended way to assign the 5000GB?

It really doesnt matter at all..I often dont even use the storage folder and only set the new folder to the max and set it to delete after instead of being moved to a new folder. Note that a 1tb drive is not 1000gb and its about 930gb...so leave a bit of free space..I would use 900...
Make sure blue iris does not indicate negative storage space on the bottom right in red.

What i usually do is check what windows nets for the drive

The WD 6Tb is netting 5.45TB (according to windows), so i figure for not fulling it completely to avoid slowdowns i though to assign only 5TB for BI, kinda the same thinking but reverse, although not sure what BI measures though.
