meh, have i fallen foul of the annoying http bug

was playing with the cams http port and changed it from standard 80 to 8090, it still works via the web nvr interface but remote web access to the cam suddenly vanished, didnt touch anything else just the http port setting

cant understand it really, management port remains same, ext cam port remains same, cams ext address is correct but still unable to access it via browser

i even tried to update the cams software with the same version remotely using ivms and hoping it would reset the http port.. nah didnt work, still no access remotely

If you are lucky, you should be able to change the HTTP port with SADP v3.x or ONVIF Device Manager.

Have you tried adding :8090 to the IP address assuming it has been port forwarded in router?
192.168.1.xxx:8090 (inside the LAN)
my_dns.com:8090 (out in world)

Brilliant thinking but alas already done, from what i have read on the forum this is a bug, but i didnt know that until after i hit ...save :(

and in actual fact i wanted to add the cam to hiks dns but maybe its just me but i failed every time i tried, maybe they cant be added if they are hanging out the back of an NVR ??
